KIA ORA!

We are in New Zealand! We are very excited to fence, sheer, beekeep, build, dig and play in the dirt - not to mention sail, snorkel, backpack, camp, and beachcomb! Cheerio. Verily, A&W

Stewart Farm

We are at Ian Stewart and Louise Deane's farm on the Coromandel Penn. doing some hay bale housing. We're building the walls of the house with the cob. The cob we get to mix with our feet! Stomping clay, sand, and staw in big troughs with our feet and then mucking it onto the side of the building where there are spaces between the stawbales and the roof. Stomping the mixture with our toes proves to be an excellent exfoliator for our feet, and it feels pretty cool between our toes. We are also helping shape bails to fill corners, and hang lights for the holiday season. The people are great, the area is great, the work is fun, the swimming hole is divine, and the food is wonderful. We toured a farm in Kerikeri that was a commercial thing and we didn't really want that. We wanted a small family thing where we were welcomed in and got see another way of living. We hit the jackpot here. They've already built a garage of staw and are living in that while the house is completed. The lifestyle is pretty rustic, collecting rainwater off the roof, dirt floors and straw everywhere. The house is pretty sweet, 3 hexagons connected, with great views. We are quite happy and will be here past the coming holiday and onto almost the new year. Then we reckon we are headed south a bit to the southern tip of the north island. Cheers.

A&B

Why should it always be B&A? Huh...huh? Sounds like a pretty sweet place to spend the holidays. Liz and I haven't put up our Pagan Martha Stewart tree yet but we'll get to it. Jesus would have to be born during the busy holiday season wouldn't he...it's all about him. I'm off to NYC on Sat. to see Cyndi and then head out on the 27th for beautiful MN. I'll be sure to update Cyndi on your adventures and give her this pain in the ass web address. Take care.

WCC&A?C

Here's a little holiday cheer for you...go to "YouTube" and search for, "SNL - Digital Short - A Special Christmas Box *Uncensored Ve." Make sure you are not in a place where anyone is easily offended. Happy Festivus (it's all about the restofus).

Hey kids

Still no snow or even very cold weather here. Will look forward to an address at your next location. Vacation starts tomorrow--can't wait. B & T will be here on Wed and we'll have a nice visit. Having fun at work--not much longer to go. Alan is retiring. He was approved by the Board. So now there are 5 of us! He's already sounding more upbeat!

Love and hugs

Here is my blog spot, which I had to create in order to write here. Sounds like Amway - must create something in order to benefit from something else.
Merry Christmas to you both. Love you tons.

Hey Kids
Getting our second light snow right now. Yest. B & T and Shirley came up and we celebrated Xmas. Went to lunch in Meredith at Mame's. We had a great time. They send their love. Dan and I had a quiet Xmas weekend with movies and a drive to see the Christmas lights. Looking forward to hearing about your next location.
